Milan Fashion Week F/W 2010: Versace brings back the sex machine

There’s something about the roar of a motorcycle and the leather jackets men wear when riding them that can draw women in. Donatella Versace was must have bottled it from the source when she and her design team were working on the Fall/Winter 2010 collection because the models were dressed to go for a ride on their own ‘hog’. Leather pants and jackets kicked things off with zips holding the line between sex bomb and motorcycle lady in place while high-shine metallic’s were ‘built-in’ to skirts and jackets to resemble the chrome work on a man’s favorite beast. With nary a print in sight, the evening wear was all about the figure hugging dresses with high slits and carefully placed cut outs to show off ample skin whilst still remaining somewhat modest.

Interestingly, Donatella took part in a Q&A to answer fan questions via Facebook from the Versace Theatre in Milan. Watch the video of the Q&A on Versace’s Facebook page (you will have to become a fan first).
