Marc Jacobs not married (again); collaborates with Maripol

Rumours came out of New York that Marc Jacobs was indeed married (again) to Lorenzo Martone but they have been denied by Jacobs’ business partner of 25 years. “Yes Marc is in love! He wants to get married. But he is not married. I don’t know when he is planning it. I promise he is not going to yet!” Robert Duffy wrote on Twitter today. “I want Marc to be the happiest guy on earth. If he wants to get married I will proudly stand up with him before God and bless that union!”

Meanwhile Marc Jacobs has teamed up with long time friend and celebrity stylist Maripol for a jewelry and t-shirt collection. Best known for her work with Madonna during her ‘Like a Virgin’ years and designing jewelry for an up and coming Jacobs back in 1985, Maripol is synonymous with rubber bracelets and chunky necklaces and has been a fan of Jacobs since they first met at a club in New York City in the eighties. The collaboration called Marc Jacobs + Maripol is made up of 13 jewelry pieces priced from $4 to $25 and five T-shirt designs at $35, it hits Marc by Marc Jacobs stores next Wednesday.
