Anna Wintour is seemingly more open to new experiences these days, first to documentary camera men for the filming of The September Issue and say for her first portrait last year for American pop art artist Alex Katz. Completed in 2009, this is the first portrait Wintour has reportedly ever sat for and said she enjoyed the experience. “I couldn’t think of a nicer way to spend the afternoon. We talked for two hours while he worked, and I was pleased to see that he used a lot of colour, which I adore.” The painting will be exhibited as part of an exhibition National Portrait Gallery in London from 15th May to 21st September 2010.
