Brigitte magazine makes good on promise with January 2010 issue model-free

When Germany’s Brigitte magazine announced last year that they were banning models of their fashion shoots because their readers had no connection with the models seen in their magazine, the online fashion world was intrigued – especially when Karl Lagerfeld claimed that people don’t want to see curvy women. But Brigitte editor Andreas Lebert has made good on his promise with their January 2010 edition the first professional model-free issue (editorial wise, models still appear in the advertising). Apparently over 20,000 of Brigitte‘s readers have nominated themselves as amateur models for upcoming issues of the magazine. Check out whats inside the January 2010 issue of Brigitte magazine here.
