Amanda Wakeley & Stephen Jones awarded OBE’s, Luella Bartley an MBE
t has been a happy start to 2010 for Amanda Wakeley, Stephen Jones and Luella Bartley with the trio of British fashion designers/milliner named in the Queen’s 2010 New Years honors list. Wakeley and Jones were awarded the Officers of the Order of the British Empire (OBE), while Bartley was named a Member of the Order of the British Empire.
“I am extremely humbled by this honour,” Wakeley said. “It is also recognition for the talented and committed teams that I am fortunate to work with both in my own business and at Fashion Targets. It’s an incredible way to complete an extraordinary year.”
The MBE award marks a positive start to 2010 for Bartley who’s namesake label was closed after their investers pulled out late last year.
