A Missoni family reunion for Spring/Summer 2010
Italians are known for their tight knit family (no pun intended) so it comes as no surprise that the Missoni family have come together to front their spring/summer 2010 advertising campaign at Rosita and Tai Missoni’s house. “I wanted to highlight our reality and our lifestyle, which is reflected in our unique product and in the artisanal aspect,” said Angela Missoni, Missoni’s Creative Director. “This campaign really reflects the mood I’m in these days, even from a design stance.”
Shot by Juergen Teller, the Missoni family had a reunion dinner with Angela Missoni and her children Margherita, Teresa and Francesco, Vittorio Missoni with his children Ottavio Junior, Marco and Giacomo in attendance. It wasn’t a complete turn out though with Luca (Angela & Vittorio’s brother) and his daughter Jennifer Missoni missing due to scheduling conflicts.
What do you think of the campaign? The overexposed amateur style photography isn’t doing the beautiful family any justice, nor does it look like happy family snaps with a everyday digital camera. I like the concept, but I’m a little dissappointed.
