Vogue Italia channel TwitPics for their December 2009 cover

“Vogue Italia is once again creating the zeitgeist. This is exactly what they do best… blurring the lines between fashion & social commentary,” said one reader on popular fashion forum, The Fashion Spot.
It’s what Franca Sozzani does best after all – remember the all black issue of Vogue Italia? But the web is a buzz at the very amateur looking December 2009 cover (supposedly inspired by TwitPic) which stars Lara Stone, Gisele Bündchen, Natalia Vodianova, Christy Turlington and Kasia Struss – a fantastic line up who all were directed by Steven Meisel to photograph themselves for the December 20009 cove which is a teaser to a story about Twitter.
Love it? Hate it? We can’t wait to read the Twitter story (if someone is kind enough to translate it into English when the magazine is released) but the deliberately amateur look pair with the Twitter theme is just not Vogue.
