We’re honestly very happy that Madonna is no longer the face of Louis Vuitton, instead we have French Vogue favourite Lara Stone fronting the Spring/Summer 2010 advertising campaign for the French fashion house.

“After our successful collaboration with Madonna, we are very happy to be working once again with Steven Meisel on the Louis Vuitton Spring/Summer 2010 fashion campaign,” says Artistic Director Marc Jacobs. “Because the collection loosely took its cues from the idea of the New Age traveler, we decided to create a green, outdoorsy set that would evoke a spirit of peace and love. To model the clothes, we wanted a modern, iconic, sexy beauty… It had to be Lara Stone.”

Inspired by Bridget Bardot, Lara poses in a bed of moss and ferns while surrounded by white doves. It’s a tranquil setting that doesn’t make the Louis Vuttion Spring/Summer 2010 collection stand out with Lara looking like a little girl lost in the woods. (Check out more photos below)

Though the guys at Vuitton don’t think so.

Antoine Arnault, Head of Communications for Louis Vuitton, comments: “This is a very strong campaign, reflecting the vibrant, optimistic mood of the Spring/Summer 2010 show. We are delighted to continue our partnership with Steven Meisel, and to welcome Lara Stone as the voluptuous new embodiment of the Louis Vuitton woman.”
