Georgia May Jagger wins BFC’s Model of the Year

It’s been quite an amazing rise from Georgia May Jagger, though looking at her pedigree you shouldn’t expect anything less from the daughter of Mick Jagger and Jerry Hall. In the past six months the young model has landed modeling contracts with Hudson Jeans and Rimmel London with a spring/summer 2010 advertising campaign lined up for Versace – all while barely setting foot on the runway. To cap off a successful year Jagger has been named the British Fashion Council’s Model of the Year, beating out Daisy Lowe and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley. Lowe was gracious in loss though, tweeting “I don’t mind as she is super amazing…” live from the awards.
Regardless of who won, it has been an amazing 2009 with the two finalists having quite a big 2009 with Huntington-Whiteley named Elle”s Model of the Year to top off being named as an official Victoria’s Secret Angel while Lowe landed advertising campaigns for Marc by Marc Jacobs, Pringle of Scotland and DKNY.
