Burberry have been in the news a bit this week, first for their Facebook Trench Coat campaign – ArtoftheTrench.com – and now because their creative director, Christopher Bailey, has been promoted to chief creative officer at the ripe age of 38. This is a newly created role for the designer who has been with Burberry since 2001. Chief executive Angela Ahrendts said the brand was “more cohesive than at any time in the company’s history,” owing to the “clarity, consistency, and purity of his amazing vision.” Congratulations Chris!
