Jalou by Dolce & Gabbana launches with high fashion glamour – the photos and video!

Remember the yet-to-be-launched Dolce & Gabbana mobile phone Jalou? Well the advertising campaign and short film for the sexy little phone has hit our inbox and they exude high wattage glamour and sexiness with a dash of jealousy and lust thrown in for good measure.

Playing on the theme of I-want-what-she’s-got, the short film shows off the exclusive 24 carat gold plated handset as the object of every woman’s desire. The short film is mysterious and glamourous – the models (who I am struggling to identify, help!) are dressed in nothing less than Dolce & Gabbana’s Winter 2010 line – and directed by Cyril Guyot who has worked with the likes of Tom Ford, Prada and Yves Saint Laurent.

“The film is about bad girls desiring an object more than anything, and we felt this was the best way to reflect the key qualities of Jalou by Dolce&Gabbana,” says Guyot. “The mood has a gangster theme, combined with a style, sexiness and humour of Helmut Newton and Guy Bourdin. The style is luxurious and the colours and lighting used throughout are reminiscent of the phone, which is all about glamour, fashion, strong women and fun.”

The print campaign follows the same theme, with the dark settings showing off the stylish Jalou by Dolce & Gabbana to perfection.

“The link with the Dolce & Gabbana brand is the strong femininity, the exclusivity and luxury of the women that wear the Dolce & Gabbana clothing, use the Jalou by Dolce & Gabbana phone and embrace our world in general,” says Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana in a release.
