Roberto Cavalli to launch online shop

Because the internet is one big happy family, we should all prepare the welcome wagon for a new comer to the online boutique fold – Roberto Cavalli. The Italian designer, known for his love of animal prints, is set to launch an online shop, powered by YOOX in November.
He once said that he was “attracted by the phenomenon of social network and surprised by the amount of groups on Facebook that love my fashion and my lifestyle… this new challenge [social media/the internet] fills me with enthusiasm because I believe that internet represents the future and an unlimited source of surprises”.
So in time for the holiday shopping season, Cavalli is setting himself a new challenge.
And to give something back to the Cavalli fans who are willing to part with their well earned dollars on his online shop, the first 500 clients will receive a free bag in Cavalli’s signature prints (pictured).
So pop on to www.robertocavalli.com from the end of November 209 to start shopping Roberto Cavalli menswear, womenswear, watches, accessories, underwear and pet wear. Yes, pet wear.

If you look at the most common brands that are sold at the online sample sale sites, HuateLook, Ideeli & Gilt.
Just now searching through my gmail, I counted 6 times it as sold on ideeli, 3 times on haute look and another 6 times on Gilt.
That is a big indicator that their online presence sucks otherwise they wouldn’t need to unload all their inventory at a loss.
