eBay ordered to pay €80,000 to Louis Vuitton Moet Hennessy
Louis Vuitton Moet Hennessy (LVMH) filed a law suit against eBay in 2008 and a Paris tribunal has found that eBay has violated LVMH trademarks in keyword searches. The online auction site received a €80,000 fine, virtually a slap on the wrist since they were seeking millions of euros. The court has also ruled that eBay would be fined €1,000 for each individual infringements in the future. [Reuters]
