Video of the week: Flash mob do the MC Hammer pants dance

We love a good flash mob but loath the MC Hammer pant, but we’ve got to give the promotional team behind MC Hammer’s Hammertime show some snaps for using a flash mob as a promotional tool.

Dressed in metallic gold MC Hammer pants, the crowd hit a denim store on Sunset Boulevard in Los Angeles one Friday to do the MC Hammer dance to his hit single ‘You Can’t Touch This’. Watch for the scared looks from some of the customers as they try to run away from the all grooving and genie-pant wearing crowd. Oh and then there are the pelvic thrusts.

Hammertime is on air now – but we’d like to know how is there conveniently a few cameras around the shop to catch all the action? I bet the said store could have been in on the whole flash mob…
