Finally breaking out of the shadow of bring Leonardo DiCaprio’s girlfriend and shedding the Sports Illustrated cover girl (i.e. non high fashion) beginnings, Bar Refaeli is starting to be quite a modeling force as news breaks of the 24 year old model signing on as a spokesperson for Garnier Fructis.
“I like Garnier and have been using their products for several years,” says Bar Refaeli. ” It’s such an honor to be the spokesmodel for Garnier Fructis’ new launches.”
Refaeli’s face will be seen all around the world as Garnier Fructis launches their Triple Nutrition Hair Care and Anti-Humidity Hairsprays around the world this month, with a greater fashion and style focus if the promotional image is to be taken into consideration.
“We are thrilled to be partnering with such a beautiful woman inside and out,” says Maybelline New York*Garnier President David Greenberg. “Not only does Bar Refaeli have beautiful hair that’s in line with what the Garnier Fructis products represent, but she embodies Garnier’s overall focus on healthy beauty and a positive mindset.”
It is that positive mindset that has gotten the young model far; remember those reports of her quickie marriage in her native Israel to avoid military service in the Israel Defense Forces? But she made amends by promising to visit the troops and promote enlistment whenever she returns home.
The only thing missing from her portfolio now, which includes hosting MTV House of Style revival, fronting the Spring 2009 Hurley ad campaign and featuring in the ad campaign for Sean John’s I Am King fragrance, is to sign a contract with Victoria’s Secret to be an official Angel. Which is of course what all the models with bikini bodies are doing.
