Fashionista’s around the world would have no doubt been glued to their TV/Tivo/computers/smart phones last night in the quest to see the Anna Wintour segment on CBS’s 60 Minutes last night in America.

We all wanted to get a glimpse into the world of Anna – the fashion editor, the mother, the character, the human.

Sure Morley Safer may have provided commentary with a tinge of mockery, but who’s to say a fashion outsider doesn’t see fashion as just a frivolous bit of fun and fancy – I was slightly insulted when he made fun of Gareth Pugh with whom I have a soft spot for. While I’ve been in many an argument about fashion and its frivolity, who needs to argue when you can spend the next 12 minutes watching the queen bee of fashion, Anna Wintour?

Watch the clip below and let me know what you think!

The clip is below the fold because it auto-plays – much to my annoyance!

I personally loved how Anna countered the Devil Wears Prada expectations and Jerry Oppenheimer’s portrayal of her in his unauthorized biography, Front Row.

“I hope I’m not [a bitch],” Anna replies. “I try not to be. But I like people who represent the best of what they do and if that turns you into a perfectionist than yes, I am.”

“If I’m such a bitch they must be glutton for punishment,” she says of the staffers who have worked for her for 15 to 20 years.

Then… we loved the interviews 60 minutes managed to obtain with the likes of Nicolas Ghesquiere, John Galliano, Karl Lagerfeld, and LVMH’s Bernard Arnault.

P.S. Anna wears her glasses all the time to hide her true feelings – good or bad, especially on the runway.
