Women tackle recession by dying their hair blonde?

In times of a credit crunch and every penny should be well spent, the growing trend is that women are rushing to the hairdressers and buying DIY dye kits to go blonde. At least that is the trend Saks Hair and Beauty Salon’s international creative director, Andew Barton is telling the Hairdressing Journal.
According to an article entitled Blonde’s Have More Fun in their Feb 19th, 2009 issue:
[Barton] claims that he has seen a 67% surge in the sales of blonde hair products compared to this time last year. After conducting his own research among his clients, he discovered they saw going blonde as an antidote to the doom and gloom of the credit crunch.
Well, when women can’t have fun with little consideration for their bank balances, blondes supposedly have more fun.
Meanwhile don’t forget to look after your blonde locks, especially if it’s not your natural hair colour, i.e. maintain your roots and watch your hair doesn’t go green/grey/etc. A good place to start is with a new shampoo and conditioner, try Schwarzkopf Professional’s BlondeMe or John Frieda’s Sheer Blonde collections.

Well, it’s a good thing I’ve been blonde for awhile then!!
Sort of makes sense. Maybe more male attention, dates(dinners), care, gifts, cash etc. Not a time to fade into the woodwork I guess! just kidding!
