Lindsay Lohan as Madonna and Alicia Keys as Michelle Obama for Glamour’s 70th Anniversary issue

If you need 15 reasons to pick up Glamour’s 70th anniversary issue, try flicking through to check out 15 up and coming young American talents transforming into American icons like Madonna, Audrey Hepburn, Billie Holiday, Michelle Obama and Carrie Bradshaw.

Relatively unknown actress, Emma Stone, was given the role a million girls would die for – channeling curly-haired fashionista Carrie Bradshaw in the opening sequence of Sex and the City (photo below). Meanwhile Lindsay Lohan was photographed posing as Madonna during her 1984 MTV Video Music Awards performance of ‘Like a Virgin’ – considering how well the photograph was styled, the 1980s was a little too easy to recreate. Scary.

Other notable’s are Emma Roberts poses as Audrey Hepburn in her iconic Funny Face balloons scene, Rumer Willis as a woman of Woodstock, Camilla Belle as Mary Tyler Moore, Hayden Panettiere as Amelia Earhart, and Alicia Keys as First Lady Michelle Obama.

Check out the full list below – then check out all the photos on Glamour.com or in the March 2009 issue with Katie Holmes on the cover now.
