Super Sales: Making the most of the last days of eLuxury

As you may have heard, one of our favorite online retailers, eLuxury.com, is going the way of Obedient Daughters, Searle, and Imitation of Christ. Well, kind of — technically eLuxury.com will exist as a sort of sophisticated PR blog for the LVMH empire, but by June, you will no longer be able to purchase anything from their site directly. This stings a little, because we’ve always loved the considerable variety of the site’s high fashion selections. Mainly we loved their sales. Fortunately, thanks to the failing economy and company restructuring, those sales are now more robust than ever. Below are ten of the most irresistible steals we found while perusing ELux this weekend.

1. Rag & Bone
Runway Zhora Skirt

Originally $325.00  SALE PRICE: $195.00

Perfectly setting royal blue against grey, this is one of the standout skirts of the season. We’ve had our eye on it since last February, when we first caught sight of it on the runway!

2. Acne Jeans
Blow Print Shirt

Originally $199.00  SALE PRICE: $79.00

Acne has become one of our linchpin brands. Like James Perse, you can always count on them to supply timeless basics with an edge. At $79, this grey blouse (still available in all sizes!) is both functional and fun — the dynamic set of qualities that count now more than ever!

3. Loeffler Randall
Patent Cut-Out Peep Toe Flat

Originally $425.00  SALE PRICE: $129.00

Yellow, or rather “mimosa”, has recently been crowned the chief hue of S/S 2009. These peep toes are now at a fraction of their original cost and will look every bit as fresh this spring as last.

4. Marc by Marc Jacobs
Three-Tone Satin Pump

Originally $325.00  SALE PRICE: $129.00

Like MbMJ’s Fall line, these “three-toned” pumps are witty and vibrant and add a dash of artistic inspiration to your routine wardrobe. Statement shoes for less? Count us in.

5. Maison Martin Margiela
Silk Strapless Dress

Originally $945.00  SALE PRICE: $289.00

A moody, simplistic sheath from the most cryptic man in fashion. A way to be “in on the joke”, without looking like one.

6. Acne Jeans
Notorious Belted Dress

$259.00  SALE PRICE: $105.00

Another compelling piece from everyone’s favorite purveyors of Swedish streetwear. You can wear it as a tunic or as a belted shift with equal ease and flair.

7. Acne Jeans
Dawn Leather Gloves, Moroccan Blue

Originally $149.00  SALE PRICE: $89.00

Have you ever seen such a gorgeous color in leather? Hands down, our favorite gloves of the season, regardless of price point.

8. Rag & Bone
Leather Clutch, Royal Blue

Originally $255.00  SALE PRICE: $179.00

You can’t beat their take on “royal blue”, and unlike many of the season’s clutches, Rag & Bone’s versions are strikingly modern and versatile. And now, under $200!

9. Thakoon
Runway Feather-Seamed Skirt

Originally $575.00  SALE PRICE: $145.00

We can’t even believe this is still available. We profiled this amazing skirt way back in July. Somehow, a few are still available; but be warned: this item is, at long last, on final clearance!

10. Hollywould
Pauline Platform Sandal

Originally $350.00  SALE PRICE: $105.00

Like eLuxury, the beloved Hollywould brand will soon be extinct. At $105, these saucy platforms are enticing option to wear with wide-legged jeans and skirts in the upcoming season. Plus, we can’t find a more a perfect (and final) opportunity to stake your own claim in the fabled Hollywould cachet — after all, it’s going, going, gone!

Thanks for the (sad) tip. Is it bad that I’m still a little excited for the bargains?

Hey, in times like these, there’s no shame in profiting from foreclosures and desperate markdowns! 😉

Rag & Bone skirt – Club Monaco had the same (and by ‘the same’ I mean ‘identical’, not ‘similar’ skirt as a part of their summer collection. Went on sale for ~$90, so there really was no reason to wait for you that long.
