Napoleon Perdis wants a protege and launches a make-up line for Target

Just when you thought reality TV shows were waning, make up maestro Napoleon Perdis’ Apprentice style reality TV show is set to hit American TV screens next month.

This isn’t going to be a show just about how to apply at least 15 products on to your face every morning (once a friend got a “make over” in a Napoleon Perdis boutique and came out with 10cm of make up on – true story), instead the show called, Get Your Face On, will follow Perdis around as he looks for a protege to help the brand expand in the American market.

“Basically I am looking for someone, a protege, who takes the business that I have worked so hard on, into the US,” Perdis told News.com.au.

Get Your Face On is set to air on TLC this August in the US – perfectly timed for the launch of the Napoleon Perdis for Target cosmetics collection.

Following in the footsteps of the fashion designer collaborations, Target are teaming up with cosmetic brands. Called NP Set, the 85-piece Perdis collection will be a diffusion line for the main brand, with WWD reporting that the line is more “fast-paced and playful” with slick white packaging and a tag line that reads: What’s in it for me?

Will you be watching Get Your Face On or checking out the diffusion cosmetic lines at Target – which is set to include collections by Jemma Kidd and Pixi by Petra?
