Mischa Barton’s handbag line for ASOS unveiled

Mischa Barton has gone from being an actress on The OC and fronting advertising campaigns to designing a 14-piece handbag collection for ASOS.
Following in the footsteps of Patricia Field, Barton was first introduced to ASOS by her sisters which helped sway her decision to collaborate with the online retailer. “My sister is really into ASOS.com and told me all about it, ” she told ASOS magazine. “I didn’t want the bags to be available everywhere – I think it makes them more special this way.”
Known for her boho-chic style and her vintage inspirations, the line of every day totes, oversized handbags, clutches and evening is tied together by a floral motif that adorns each of the bags in some shape or form. Perha.
“I was very involved, from the types of fabrics, the buckles, the design, drawing, everything,” she says. “I just love bags. They were fun to design and a great creative outlet.”
With prices ranging from £20 to £145, the collection provides versatility in use and is one of the more original celebrity branded collections designed by Barton’s contemporaries.
Check out the collection at ASOS and let us know what you think?
I’m debating whether I like the Oscar Tapestry Oversized Shoulder Bag or the Coco Clutch bag enough to justify the price and shipping fees. They’re cute, but would I use it for more than a week?

To me these shots make her look like Kirsten Dunst! In any case Mischa doesn’t look like herself.

To be honest, ASOS is rather over priced for what they actually sell.
