Ashley Judd for Goody’s, so successful they’re creating plus-sizes

Remember last year we told you that Ashley Judd had teamed up with Goody’s, a family apparel retailer throughout the Southeast, to design a clothing line? Well the collection has been such a success that the company announced that they will launch ‘Ashley Judd Plus’, an additional collection designed especially for plus-sized women.

“Our customers have warmly received the Ashley Judd collection, and the brand has become a key part of Goody’s merchandise selection,” said Goody’s CEO, Paul White. “Further, sales from the collection have been strong since the introduction in September 2007. We look forward to the launch of another one of Ashley’s lines and giving our plus-sized customers a great fashion offering.”

The ‘Ashley Judd Plus’ line will reflected the classic yet modern fashion styles of the Ashley Judd line now available in stores – and online – and shopping into 150 Goody’s stores beginning in August 2008. A portion of the sales going towards Goody’s Good Deeds for Good Schools, a program that awards grants to kindergarten through 12th grades in Goody’s communities.
