Did Miuccia Prada really stipulate you should not eat lunch at your desk

Miuccia Prada has quite a list of rules for her staff, if Page Six are to be believed (and they usually can be relied upon).

In a leaked memo, apparently sent out directly from Miuccia herself, she stipulates that all window shades on one side of a room should either be completely up or down, and you must not eat lunch at your desk.

Though the lunch at the desk rule is because “it is important to take a break from your workday and enjoy your lunch.”

Other Miuccia rules include:

  • Desk and work surfaces should be clean and uncluttered. Pictures, calendars, etc. should not be taped to cubicle/office walls.
  • Pets may not be brought to the corporate office or the store.
  • For corporate employees, all coats should be hung in the appropriate coat room and not kept in offices or hung over cubicle walls.
  • Items may not be placed on the window sills.

What happens if you don’t follow these rules? Well you “may be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.”

So is the Devil really Prada? What do you think of her rules?

    I don’t think I could survive with a clutter-free windowsill.

Miuccia is Italian for God’s sake! Meals are a sacrament. I wish the whole world would shut down for an hour at lunch time… there would be less stress and more humanity.
