Helena Christensen has stamps made from her son’s photos for charity

When you’re a photographer, you tend to take a lot of pictures of your loved ones (well I’d assume so) and that’s just what mother and supermodel, Helena Christensen has done. Though she took it a step further, turning five photographs of her son into a special set of Mother’s Day stamps.

The Royal Mail stamps of the now eight year old Mingus are now on eBay with the proceeds going to help domestic violence charity, Women’s Aid and Help the Hospices.

“I am delighted to be involved in such a positive initiative. The images I’ve chosen mean a lot to me as a mother,” said Christensen, pictured above modeling for Monsoon.

“This is the second year we have run this auction,” said a spokeman for the Royal Mail. “It proved so popular we invited Helena on board.”

Her son, who reportedly helped her grieve for Heath Ledger, is just so cute! The stamps seem rather personal don’t you think? None the less, check them out on eBay here, bidding ends on March 7, 2008.
