Shakira to launch a beauty line with Puig
It had been a while since we heard about a celebrity launching a fragrance or beauty collection, but Shakira and Puig have broken the dry spell with an announcement that she has accepted a design to design a line of beauty, fragrance and personal care products.
The nine-time Grammy award winning singer says that she’s “very excited to be able to express myself through another creative medium. My feeling is that personal care and beauty should be effortless and accessible for everyone.”
What do you think of this up coming addition to the beauty market?
Before you think she’s one dimensional, Shakira is also the creator of the Barefoot Foundation, dedicated to the improvement of educational and social conditions for families and children in her home country of Colombia.
She also was a founder of ALAS (America Latina en Accion Solidaria – Latin America for Solidarity) with Nobel Prize winning author Gabriel Garcia Marquez, with the aim of improving early childhood development throughout Latin America.
