Project Runway Australia is accepting applications!

Do you think you’re the next big thing in Australian fashion design? Well hot American TV show Project Runway is coming to Australia thanks to Foxtel and FremantleMedia Australia. And they’re accepting applications now.

“Ambitious fashion designers across the country should ready their needles and thimbles to show us their raw talent and personality,” says Foxtel Head of Entertainment, Graham Burrells. “Experience will be a factor but is certainly not vital. We are interested in designers of all levels of experience – be it the inspired youngster straight out of school or industry veteran with 20 years experience.”

Visit www.projectrunway.com.au to submit your application form now!

“We will be searching for a very diverse group with many and varied talents. Avante garde, high fashion, tailoring, street-wear, red-carpet, sports, prêt-a-porter, swimwear, couture – whatever your specialty – we want to see your designs,” says Paul Franklin, Freemantle Media Australia’s Director of Factual.

Now… I wonder who the judges will be now that they have settled on Aussie model, Kristy Hinze (pictured above modeling for Sportscraft) has been announced as the host, and which magazine will be the ELLE magazine part of the equation… after all Australian Elle shut it’s doors in 2002 (it was launched in 1990).

Also, who do you want to see as the magazine judge, the designer judge and the ‘Tim Gunn’ style mentor?

Hi guys, Am putting this application in for girlfriend who does not have foxtel so has not seen your fabulous show..She is obviously extremely talented, having designed gowns for red carpet events and all sorts of occasions.. She was in the army for a long time so has the discipline, plus the loud personality to be an interesting and opinionated designer. She is holidaying at the moment but will be here this Saaturday so, What do we do to get her invlolved?
