Harper’s Bazaar reenacts Marc Jacobs late spring 2008 show

American Harper’s Bazaar has been doing some rather tongue in cheek things of late, first creating a spread featuring The Simpsons and Linda Evangelista at the Couture shows in Paris with cameo’s made by some of fashion’s biggest design names. Then a few months later they modeled young children as Karl Lagerfeld, Miuccia Prada and some of their counterparts in a spread, and now they’ve poked fun at Marc Jacobs’ notoriously late Spring 2008 show that earned him the ire of fashion journalists.

Working with Jacobs and his team, Glenda Bailey (Bazaar’s EIC) reenacted the almost 2 hour late show which featured some fashion name’s playing themselves in a series of photographs.

Some memorable shots include front row star, Helena Christensen realizing at 9:50 that she was wearing the same Jacobs dress as the person next to her; then there were as Jacobs front-row regulars Allison Sarofim, Genevieve Jones, Cindy Sherman, and Kim Gordon, all looking bored or half asleep at 10:49 p.m with one of the Louis Vuitton nurses thrown in for good measure.

The 12 page spread was photographed by Peter Lindbergh for the March 2008 issue of Bazaar which features Lindsay Lohan on the cover.
