It’s been a while since I’ve taken you back a few decades to look at fashion and beauty before. So get ready to be sent back to 1986 with this Clearasil television ad, where soft focus (and the pimple cream and soap) was your friend.

Doesn’t the girl in the commercial looks very much like the girls on the cover of the Sweet Valley High books – with the original covers and illustrations?

So… “on Valentine’s day, I got… a pimple”
