Eva Mendes the new face of Calvin Klein
Calvin Klein has named actress Eva Mendes as their face for a yet-to-be-named Calvin Klein women’s fragrance expected to launch later this year.
“We’ve been looking at Eva [at Coty] for awhile, not just for Calvin,” said Catherine Walsh, senior vice president of American Fragrances for Coty Prestige. “Her awareness and likability have been on the rise since 2003 — she consistently generates a very positive response. Both men and women find her incredibly attractive, fit and sexy. And because her awareness is growing worldwide, we are planning this fragrance as a global launch.”
The advertising campaign for the fragrance is expected to launch in October with Walsh adding that Mendes will also do personal appearances globally for the fragrances.
Mendes is no stranger to being the face of a beauty brand, she was a Revlon spokesmodel for a few years, and has often been spotted wearing Calvin Klein dresses at red carpet events. She joins the likes of Kate Moss, Christy Turlington and Scarlett Johansson as spokeswomen for Calvin Klein fragrances.
