Would you go old school with Levis 501?

Before the likes of Sass & Bide, 7 For All Mankind, Earnest Sewn, and True Religon were big brands on the denim scene, there was only one brand that everyone turned to for their denim needs. Levis.

The Levis 501 style was so versatile and open to self distressing – they were cut, torn, razored, bleached and customized – and were a staple item for people like Mick Jagger, Andy Warhol, Madonna and the cast of Beverly Hills 90210. Paired with t-shirts, it was the quintessential all-American-look.

Now Levis is bring back their iconic 501 style (as seen on Wednesday’s episode of Project Runway 4) in a faded sun worn wash, reminiscent to the faded wash from the 1990s.

But how would you wear it without looking too 90s?

You can pick up the Levis 501 jeans in the faded sun wash at the Levis online shop, or in Australia at General Pants stores.

Don’t forget you can redesign the Levis 501 jean like the contestants of Project Runway in their ninth challenge with Project 501.
