Versace spring 2008 featuring Gisele Bundchen

Would you have expected an understated Versace advertising campaign without Kate Moss’ bleached blondness and Catherine McNeil’s sharp looks of last season? Who would have thought it would be the way forward for spring 2008.
But that is the way creative director, Donatella Versace has chosen to go with Gisele Bundchen in a campaign which is more about the clothes than it is about the face. Photographed by Mario Testino, the ads are still representing the sexiness of Versace without going over the top. Nice.
