Nina Ricci’s 60th anniversary bottle designed by Olivier Theyskens

Nina Ricci’s iconic fragrance, L’Air du Temps, celebrates its 60th anniversary this year and a special “Couture Edition” bottle has been inspired by one of Olivier Theyskens’ beautiful dresses.

“L’Air du Temps incarnates everything I love,” said Theyskens. “I’ve always loved birds and I simply adore how the bottle spirals up to give life to two intertwining doves. You can almost see them taking flight. And the emblematic yellow of the glass sets off the fragrance to perfection.”

Yes, the bottle really does feature the soft green feathers surrounding the base as if it were a gorgeous flowing dress.

According to FashionWeekDaily, the 60th anniversary L’Air du Temps bottle is encased in white vellum and printed with the damask embossing used in the runway show with a purposefully built transparent façade that serves to showcase the doves, preparing to take flight.

The fragrance will hit counters in April with the 50ml bottle set to retail for a reasonable $53.
