Get Keira Knightley’s green Atonement dress

A few days ago we told you that Keira Knightley’s emerald green satin dress from her latest film Atonement had won the best film costume in a poll taken by Sky Movies and British InStyle magazine. Since then everyone wanted to know where to get one for themselves for upcoming parties, proms or balls.
So we searched high and low in all our favourite online stores until we finally came across a dress by Faviana which was inspired by the gorgeous green dress designed by costume designer, Jacqueline Durran for Atonement.
Made from emerald green satin, the dress also folds, and drapes just like Keira’s, with the Faviana 6199 dress retailing at $238.

Just wondering, does anyone know if the pictures on the webiste are of the original that Keira Knightley wore in the movie or are they the copy (i.e. the version we will recieve if we order it)?…

I live in the UK, and I’m desperate to get hold of this dress. I’ve tried, but not been able to, find out whether those sites above can do shipping outside the US? Also I’m wondering how long it’ll be available for…?

Hi Alexis, both sites ship overseas just click on the links above to shop on either sites. My guess is the dress will be available for the next little while - well into the DVD release of Atonement.

The material is Charmeuse. Its like a soft satin. The gown is absolutely gorgeous. I would highly recommend the site.

Hi Alex,
Just check out their return policy on the site. Most sites have a limited time in which you can return their items - just like regular stores items will have to be in their original condition.

For anyone who already has the dress, is the dress the same or very close to the colour of the dress in the movie? (The reason I’m asking is because on the Edress me site it looks like a completly diffrent shade of green.)

I was wondering if anyone knew of a site or something that had pictures of someone wearing this dress - I can’t get a feel of what it will really look like just from the pictures on edressme’s website and I am debating on if I should buy it or not, thanks!

I don’t have a picture yet, but I got this for my daughter’s sr. prom dress - and she love’s it and so do I. It fit her in the bodice perfectly but we had the straps shortened and the train was beautiful but not practical for a prom night so we shortened it with to a shorter train. The material is a quality soft satin, a small amount of padding in the top. It’s lovely.

Really wonder what the draping will do to someone who actually has hips…semms to be in an unflattering spot. But love the colour
