Burberry spring 2008 featuring the Brit pack

Gone are the black and white Burberry ads from the days when Kate Moss, Stella Tennant and Gemma Ward fronted the advertising campaigns since the mid 2000’s. Now days Christopher Bailey’s Burberry is all about the up and coming British models, actors and musicians, like Agyness Deyn, Lily Donaldson, Coco Summer (Sting’s daughter), Alice Gibb, Blondelle (British rock group) and Eddie Redmayne (actor).

According to WWD the new-look campaigns are to reflect “a very colorful collection and a younger mood at Burberry,” said a spokesman.

The campaign was photographed by Mario Testino and really has you asking, who are all these people and why do they all have just a myriad of different expressions on their faces?

This ad campaign looks absolutely amazing. I can remember a time when Burberry was viewed as a brand for old farts playing golf. These models are young, hot, and make the brand look young again. The sad thing is that Burberry missed their recent sales target, so maybe the campaign hasn’t been that effective.
