Tara Reid the next face of Peter Alexander

She’s in Bali to shoot an advertising campaign for Australia’s leading sleepwear brand, Peter Alexander, but Tara Reid managed to make gossip headlines by taking a fall while out partying.

Newly slim and down under quiet frequently (as it seems Australian marketers like to fly her down to promote events) Tara is set to aid Peter Alexander’s push into the US market reports the Daily Telegraph.

Though how a clothed Tara Reid will help is beyond me in a market where Victoria’s Secret Pink collection is so popular – and it’s modeled by sweet Australian model, Miranda Kerr.

UPDATE: PageSix has a picture of Tara in Bali, perhaps modeling a piece from Peter Alexander’s next collection. What do you think of it?

    argh.
I don’t think using Tara is such a great move.
Peter Alexander can do better. I can’t think of an alternative off the top of my head but if I had a brand I definitely wouldn’t want Tara associated with it.

I agree with Kitty. How can using Tara be a good move? Surely the Americans have a similar opinion of her to us? I know hiring her for ads here would be a bad move, so how is it a good move to launch a brand in the US using her?

  3. Hanna Says:

Yuck yuck yuck. Peter Alexander is the most gorgeous sleepwear brand, so how on earth could trashy Tara be used to promote something so pretty? It just doesn’t make sense to me.

I’m just glad she’s out of Perth… But really, she is the most inappropriate “face” for this brand… Puts me off wearing it to be honest!
