Paris Hilton’s (step) great grandmother, Zsa Zsa Gabor, spent time in a jail cell

It seems the Hilton family wasn’t new to traffic/driving violations leading to jail time. Before Paris Hilton did her stay in jail earlier this year, her (step) great grandmother and fashionista spent three days in jail for assaulting a police officer.

Gabor, who was married to Hilton hotel chain founder, Conrad Hilton, in the 1940s, was accused of slapping the face of a Beverly Hills police officer when he stopped her for a traffic violation in 1989. She was found guilty by a judge and sentences to 72 hours in the El Segundo jail.

The trial, like Paris’ or even the Pitt/Aniston divorce, resulted with “fans and foes sporting T-shirts reading either Hang Zsa Zsa‘ or ‘Free Zsa Zsa,’” hanging outside the courtroom according to the New York Times.

Zsa Zsa Gabor is probably best known to fashionistas as the woman who built a three-tiered closet which is 30 feet long, 12 feet wide and 14 feet high. According to reports, the closet contained over 5,000 garments which was regularly sorted through with over $30,000 worth of pieces donated to charities.
