Manolo Blahnik for (the camp) men

Manolo Blahnik is known for his fabulous collection of womens shoes of the skyscraper, but he’s going back to his roots and relaunching his men’s shoes after seven years away. The six-piece collection is set to launch in stores in February 2008 with “over-the-top man-dals to a classic twist on oxfords”.

While gay men around the world would be rejoicing, one does have to wonder who would buy these shoes to wear? With the colours and textures, I keep flashing back to The Villiage People. Perhaps stylish men should just stick to Prada for their design shoe needs for now.
