Richard Prince & Marc Jacobs talk about Louis Vuitton S/S 2008
If anyone asks me about the Louis Vuitton spring summer 2008 collection, all I can tell them is that it featured some crazy Louis Vuitton monogram bags and models dressed as nurses at the finale.
This little video take us backstage and we get to hear about how Richard Prince approached his collaboration with Marc Jacobs and Louis Vuitton. By approaching it “from the wrong way, in a way in which it would be misinterpreted” they took Louis Vuitton from the cute Murakami images to a new level.
With Marc Jacobs taking animately about “creating shapes, cutting up shapes, morphing shapes, and collaging shapes” you understand the collection a little more. At least I did.
