News Bites: Leiber the most prestigious bag brand & Cate lands i-D cover

Crystal studded bags tops a list and we see another side to Cate Blanchett. All in a day’s news really.

• Leiber (formally known as Judith Leiber) is the most prestigious handbag brand in 2007 according to the 2007 Luxury Brand Status Index. With Hermes and Prada coming in second and third, it’s a nice list to a part of. Especially since the three brands beat out the likes of Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Dior and Fendi. • Cate Blanchett was appears on the cover of the December 2007 issue of ID magazine. Photographed by Matthias Vriens, the cover is certainly artistic. I love that Cate allows stylists and photographers to use her face as a blank canvas to great something so different. [cover via TFS]
