News bites: Galliano designs for kids, Luella for Disney, Beckham for Emporio Armani

With SASSYBELLA.com’s recent downtime, we haven’t been able to update as often, so here’s a quick update of the fashion news & gossip on the web…

  • Christian Dior’s creative director, John Galliano, is teaming up with Diesel Kids. He’s signed a 5 year deal to design a childrenswear range for the Italian brand, set to hit stores early next year. “Galliano creates fairytales for adults, you can only imagine what he can do for children,” says Diesel Director Renzo Rosso to WWD. • Disney Princesses will be dressed in nothing but designer dresses later this year, designed by some of the world’s biggest fashion designers. Luella Bartley, Vivienne Westwood, Azzedine Alaia, Michael Hertz for Aquascutum and many more designers will design dresses for Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella, Tinkerbell and Minnie Mouse. Proceeds from the charity auction will go toward benefiting UNICEF. [FemaleFirst]
  • David Beckham is set to model underwear, and not any underwear, Emporio Armani underwear. This follows Emporio Armani’s push into the US with their underwear range. Beckham was photographed by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott in LA last week for the ad campaign due out in January [WWD]
