Madonna’s cone bra is thanks to Jean-Paul Gaultier

Before the likes of Roberto Cavalli and Dolce & Gabbana started designing costumes for Jennifer Lopez, the Spice Girls, Kylie Minogue and the like, Jean-Paul Gaultier designed sculptured costumes for Madonna’s tours.
He’s the one to thank for her cone-bra (corset), which was worn during her Blonde Ambition Tour in the early 1990s. The iconic look is one of Madonna’s key moments in pop culture – and it was just a redesign of one Gaultier first did in the 1980s.
Gaultier also designed the wardrobe for Madonna’s Confessions Tour in 2006.
