Prada, McCartney, Lagerfeld, Versace go mini for Harper’s Bazaar

It’s not quite news that Jennifer Aniston is on the cover of the November issue of Harpers Bazaar, but what in the magazine is a sight to be seen. In the magazine’s 140ths anniversary edition, they have featured seven fashion designers one of their biggest hits.

But the designer’s aren’t quite themselves. Seven children have been dressed up as Karl Lagerfeld, Miuccia Prada, John Galliano, Alber Elbaz, Stella Mccartney, Donatella Versace and Olivier Theyskens.

The Kid Stays In The Picture, spread was photographed by Peter Lindbergh, with Chanel Iman modeling the designers’ hit pieces (see below for more pictures).

I love how each mini designer was styled to perfection by Jenny Capitain. Everything has been done to perfection, with Galliano’s suit, hat and moustache; Elbaz’s bow tie and stance; Lagerfeld’s sunglasses, hair and gloves, and of course, Theysken’s facial hair and long straight locks.

What was the best mini replica?

That’s so cute, but what is with young children in fashion shoots? We’re not even talking about young models. First Marc Jacobs uses Dakota Fanning in his advertising campaign, now seven young children in Harpers Bazaar dressed up as designers?
