In Alaia: Victoria Beckham, Mariah, Carine Roitfeld, Naomi Campbell
This Azzendine Alaia tiered ruffle dress with see through panels has certainly been doing the rounds since June.
It was first spotted on Victoria Beckham (with Christian Louboutin patent leather beige pumps) then in black on Mariah Carey a few days later in June (with black YSL tribute heels). Carine Roitfeld wore it in New York last month for NY fashion week, though French Vogue’s EIC chose to wear the dress in its fitted body version, it didn’t stop Naomi Campbell from wearing it with flat black boots in Paris the other day.
Who wore the look better?
I wonder is Victoria thinks she’s started a trend. Not that most of us can get our hands on this ruffled Alaia dress.

Carine and Victoria looks best in the dress. The see through bits on Mariah’s dress makes her torso look wider, and the sleeves on Naomi’s just makes the whole look frumpy.
