NYFW S/S 2008: Diane von Furstenberg

If the recent Proenza Schouler show and now Diane von Furstenberg are on the money, it seems that fashion is going tribal. In her spring summer 2008 collection, DvF strayed from her trademark wrap dress (thank goodness, it has been copied too much) and went down the road of safari style prints and flowing dress with a kick.

Linen was a popular choice over jersey, with fresh and loose trousers, tops and dresses for women who want to look like their off to a remote location – without having to travel there. My favourite piece was the strapless black dress with triangle patterns in brown, black and white. But would I wear it… probably not. But would you wear it?

  1. The DVF Spring collection is pretty and definitely wearable. The vibrant colour and flowing light texture is just right for spring.
