Rag & Bone designs carbon free t-shirts with Lancome

It really is all about fashion being friendly to the environment, and the latest fashion brand going carbon free product is Rag & Bone.

In another exclusive for the Paris based fashion boutique, Colette will exclusively sell the Carbon Free T-Shift created by denim brand, Rag & Bone designers with Lancome as FashionWeekDaily reported.

The lightweight limited-edition tee will launch in the coming weeks and is made in North Carolina of 100 percent organic cotton and comes in two colors: cloud and carbon. All profits from the tee, modeled by Lancôme spokeswomen Shalom Harlow, Daria Werbowy, and Elettra Rossellini-Wiedemann, will benefit the environmental organization Carbonfund.org.

Lancôme and Carbonfund.org recently embarked on a partnership to celebrate the launch of Primordiale Cell Defense, a serum that protects the skin against environmental aggressors. Through Carbonfund.org, Lancôme has “offset” the environmental impact of its spokesmodels’ travel, planted 10,000 trees, and made four Lancôme boutiques “carbon free” from Earth Day 2007.

Yes because a t-shirt and a charity website helps offset the hundreds of flights Lancome as a company would catch in a year. Check out their video documenting the Eco-Chic Project on YouTube here.
