Mikhail Gorbachev modelling for Louis Vuitton ads

Getting people’s attention can be a little difficult these days, everyone is becoming immune to risqué advertising, and celebrities fronting campaigns is getting stale (or am I the only one sick of seeing Scarlett Johansson in the Vuitton campaigns?). It was refreshing to see the Mikhail Gorbachev, the last president of the Soviet Union, fronting the latest Louis Vuitton campaign.
It prompts you to look twice, and perhaps even think about that world outside of fashion, like history.
Andre Agassi, Steffi Graf, and Catherine Deneuve also feature in the Louis Vuitton campaign shot by Annie Leibovitz.
What do you think of the campaign?

interesting i guess… does make you look twice..
It is fabulous. It will appeal to those other than fashionistas. And it gives the monogrammed LV a renewed class. Because personally, I find it completely crass.
I like it, brilliant idea. The photo is very nicely taken too.
