Dear by Amanda Bynes, her clothing line for Steve & Barry’s

All the other teen queens have clothing lines (think Hilary Duff and Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen’s tween lines), so why not Amanda Bynes? That could have been what Steve & Barry’s were thinking when they were looking for a celebrity to follow in the footsteps of Sarah Jessica Parker’s popular Bitten collection. Amanda says she chose to call her collection Dear, because she loves animals and the way that older people use the word as a term of endearment. In the clip above, Amanda says her dad’s enthusiasm for the store also helped encourage her to do a collection.

What’s different about the Dear by Amanda Bynes collection? Well it should be just as affordable as the SJP Bitten collection, the clothes will be a little younger and funkier. The collection is reportedly due to include camouflage shorts, skirts, cargo trousers, polo shirts, t-shirts and zip-up sweaters. And perhaps the black pumps with pink soles (inspired by Christian Louboutin’s red soles perhaps?) will also be included.

Check out the official website and the MySpace page for some more cute pictures.

Stay tuned for more updates!
