Well that was to be expected – people going crazy over Sarah Jessica Parker’s Bitten collection for US chain store, Steve & Barry’s. The Sex and the City star greeted fans in a Manhattan Steve & Barry’s store yesterday as fans and chain store fashion lovers rushed to get a piece of Bitten by Sarah Jessica Parker all over America.
Hundred of women queued in a New York mall to see Parker launch her Bitten label – that included shoes and bags for only US$9.98.
“We love her,” said Kris Young, 34, a make-up artist told Reuters. She had gotten up at 3am with three friends to drive to Manhattan from Columbia, Maryland, and queued several hours to see Parker.
“I think it’s a great idea that she made it so affordable and the sizes are so broad. This is more real-life, everyday and everyone can have a piece of it.”
Well according to the collection’s tag line, “fashion is not a luxury, it’s a right”. Whatever you say SJP, you do waltz around in Manolo Blahniks and Christian Louboutin heels. I wonder what the Amanda Bynes and Steve& Barry’s collection will look like…
