Roberto Cavalli for H&M

I must admit I would never have picked Cavalli as the next designer for H&M, but it’s true. The WWD.com reports that Roberto Cavalli will design a one-off women’s and men’s collection to be sold in 200 H&M stores beginning Nov. 8.

“There is no place for shyness and no possibility of ending up with a mainstream wardrobe of everyday basics. The Roberto Cavalli collections represents an exuberant, successful lifestyle,” said H&M’s head designer Margareta van den Bosch (pictured above with Roberto).

The upcoming Cavalli collection follows in the footsteps of Karl Lagerfeld, Stella McCartney, Viktor & Rolf and Madonna for the Swedish retial giant.

The collection should be interesting, and perhaps cowboy themed? Judging by Cavalli’s Fall 07 collection this could be a possibility. What every happens the pieces will be full of sexy prints and cuts.
