Metallic nails: Zoya Trixie, Chanel Noir Ceramic, Mavala Madras

I can never seem to ‘do’ two dimensional nail colours, you know the ones with just shine like a patent leather bag? I like my nails with a little extra sparkle of the metallic nature. So when a bottle of ZOYA’s Trixie, Mavala’s Madras and Chanel’s Noir Ceramic nail polish crossed my path I just had to try them on. It started a nail polish frenzy, there was something about the three dimensional shine and pop that had me try about 6 different nail colours in a week and a half. What was my favourite you ask?

Tied for first is ZOYA’s Trixie and Chanel’s Noir Ceramic.

Both polishes take nail colours to a new level รขโ‚ฌโ€œ who said black was the nail colour of the season? Put it aside for Chanel’s Noir Ceramic. It’s a slate / gunmetal black with more than a hint of sparkle that keeps your nails glistening for days. Who needs Chanel’s Black Satin – give me their limited edition Noir Ceramic instead.

If you’re looking for a nail colour with a more futuristic twist, then ZOYA’s Trixie is your gal. When first putting it on my nails I thought it was all a bit much – image someone painting on thousands on miniature diamonds on to your nails, that is how much shine you get. But after a while the colour is so eye catching and edgy that you never want to take it off.

Coming in third is Mavala’s Madras red nail polish from their Majesty colour collection. Need I explain why red nail polish is the bomb? Well it’s always going to be a classic and Madras is this darling plum red which dark enough for a bit of metallic edginess for a girl who’s sick of her cherry red polish.
